My name is Thomas J. Bruns, president of Bruns-Gutzwiller, Inc. We are a general contractor and have been in continuous service since 1920. Our primary business is public sector work in schools and hospitals in southeastern Indiana.
In the time I have been with BG, since 1988, General interiors has been one of our key subcontractors. The first project I did with them was Edinburgh High School reno in the early 1990 ‘s. This past 5 years we have completed the VA domiciliary in Fort Benjamin Harrison, St Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg, Sisters of Saint Francis dormitory in Oldenburg, and finally the Batesville High school renovation. Each of these projects have been in excess of $1,000,000 subcontract, and a couple have approached $2,000,000.
BG finds that General Interiors is not only extremely competitive on pricing, they do quality work. They not only keep up with project schedule, THEY DRIVE THE SCHEDULE!!! I have a lot of personal contact with Mark Wyatt, vice president and PM . He has done some extremely challenging work for the VA and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, both are demanding owners, and came through with flying colors.
When it comes to drywall and acoustical ceilings, General Interiors is our go to contractor. We give them the highest recommendation of any subcontractor on our preferred bidders list.
